Simplify

My word & mandra for this year is to simplify. I'm finding it more difficult than I thought... It seems that life nowadays is filled with a billion ways to cluther. One can only avoid temptation to a certain degree. So I am very slowly walking up a downward escalator. I still have lots of will and energy left so things are still hopeful:)
I have just finished a very interesting book by Margaret Atwood called Payback - debt & the shadow side of wealth. It explores the 'psychology' & 'history' of debt in a very intriging way. From mythology to religion to literature to the structure of human society, psychic & vengence.
"debt-is built into the human imgination and is one of it's dynamic metaphors".

It seems more than a manmade structure but instead a shared even animal instinct.

Read it. It's quite fascinating.
