although.... my super genius somehow managed to lose all our files...then recovered only mine...sob...bad bad hard drive really...

Yes, yes, Seagate 120Gig is a really bad drive I tell you. 3 purchases that I know about and 3 unrecoverable crashes amidst my group of friends. 100% failure rating... either very good or very bad stats, depending on how you look at it. Either SATA or IDE alike, they all suck... don't buy it. I hear Western Digitals performance is pretty respectable these days given how bad their crash rate used to be a few years ago. Maybe they've learned their lessons ;-)
